Description

Easy Gas-Level Check
The temperature-sensitive liquid crystal display reacts to the temperature difference between the liquid gas and the empty section of the cylinder, helping indicate the approximate gas level.

Magnetic and Reusable
The soft magnetic backing attaches directly to compatible steel gas cylinders and can be removed and reused when required.

Summer and Winter Scales
The indicator includes separate temperature ranges:

• Use the left-hand scale during colder winter conditions
• Use the right-hand scale during warmer summer conditions

No Batteries Required
The indicator works without batteries, electricity or complicated installation.

How to Use

1. Make sure the outside of the gas cylinder is clean, dry and free from grease or dirt.
2. Place the magnetic indicator vertically on the lower half of the cylinder.
3. Turn on the connected gas appliance so gas begins flowing.
4. Wait approximately 10 minutes for a temperature difference to develop.
5. Check the coloured bars on the indicator.
6. The active colour change should appear around the approximate level of the liquid gas inside the cylinder.
7. Use the left scale during colder winter conditions and the right scale during warmer summer conditions.

For improved results, pour a small amount of warm water down the outside of the cylinder and then check the indicator for a clearer temperature change. Do not use boiling water.

Important Information

This product provides an approximate visual indication of the liquid gas level and is not a precision measuring instrument.

It must be attached to a magnetic steel cylinder. It may not attach to aluminium, plastic or composite gas cylinders.

Readings can be affected by ambient temperature, cylinder condition, gas flow and weather conditions. The clearest result is normally obtained while gas is being used and a temperature difference is present inside the cylinder.

Always follow the gas-cylinder manufacturer’s safety instructions. Keep LPG cylinders upright, well ventilated and away from heat, flames and ignition sources.
